We (Pierre-Alexander Balland, Alexander Simoes, and César A. Hidalgo) are looking to hire 2 to 4 people to work with us in a new startup. We are looking for people with either web development experience or people able to work in analytical tasks, such as data analysis and report writing.

About the founders:

Pierre-Alexandre Balland is a professor of Economic Geography at Utrecht University and a visiting professor at the Center for Collective Learning at the University of Toulouse. He is an economist by training and has vast experience in economic geography and innovation. Pierre has a PhD in economics from the University of Toulouse.

Alexander Simoes is a Computer Scientist with more than a decade of experience creating complex data visualization and distribution projects, including oec.world, datausa.io, datamexico.org, and many others. He is a founder and CTO at Datawheel. Alex has a Masters in Media Arts and Science from MIT.

César A. Hidalgo is a physicist and director of the Center for Collective Learning at the University of Toulouse. He has vast experience leading the creation of complex data distribution projects. Between 2010 and 2019 he directed the Collective Learning group at MIT. He is a founder at Datawheel, and lead the company as CEO until the end of 2021. Cesar holds a PhD in physics from the University of Notre Dame.
